camera is battery dependant by design.  it will not function without battery installed.  new batteries installed advance film, fire about five times witout fail, then nothing.  let it sit a few days and it repeats above.  I'm wondeering about bad co

Electric power has nothing to do with film advance, only the shutter.  What you are experiencing with the advance is normal operation - the lever winds once, the shutter will not fire due to the electrical problem, and then the lever won't move be

thanks, I removed the bottom plate, did some general cleaning, found what looked to be hardened lubricant in a number of places and quite a bit of grim.  alos a set of contacts that appear to be attached to the end of the film spindle, ran a piece
