I have just bought this camera and after developing the first film, I noticed uneven spacing between frames. I pulled out the counter and discovered that unfortunately it is damaged.

That's a shame. The lack of response here probably says no one has any spares. Another Va is probably the only hope if you can find a scrap one.

I have been lucky to find a Rolleikin mask set (which I don't need) with such a counter left in the case, for ?15. Happy bunny!

These 12 frame counters are very rare and easily sell for ?25,-- or more.

A word of warning. Apparently, I had super-tightened the counter, and after taking the first frame I could continue winding the film forward without being able to cock the shutter. I loosened it by turning the screw about 1mm and that fixed the proble

Luckily I never experienced that and the manual only states that the counter exchange should be performed only with an open back door.
