Help needed with removing front lens element Konica S2

 Hello,

I want to repair a shutterblade problem on my konica S2. I've read the archives of how to do this but I cannot understand fully how the front element lens to be removed.
I tried screwing off the first silver ring (first one beneath/inside the black shade) but that ring does not move. Will it be this ring that has to be removed to release the front element or am I wrong.
If so what will be the best way to remove that ring.

Thanks,
André

Look at the repair article about the Konica Auto-S1.6 in the repair article section - this camera is virtually identical to the Auto-S2. Sometimes these retainer rings are very tight. It's the best to use a tool which gets into both notches - not necessarily a spanner wrench. The short blades of an el-cheapo caliper gauge will work in many cases.

Thanks for your reply, so I rumbled on the correct ring (the articles do not show that clearly).
Unfortunately it's so tight that I will need a blacksmith to remove it.
The caliper gauge is a good idea though.
